In order to evaluate the exploratory potential of Pará-Maranhão Basin, Brazilpetrostudies have developed a study to rank the best areas for petroleum exploration in the basin. This project was based on the integration of different approaches and exploration tools like seismic interpretation, high-resolution geochemistry, petroleum systems modeling and petrophysics.

This study, based on selected high resolution geochemical analyses, comprises a detailed investigation of the Petroleum Systems of the Northern area of the Brazilian Equatorial Margin, including Foz do Amazonas, Pará-Maranhão and Barreirinhas basins.
