In this special report, we are taking a look at the deep and ultra-deepwater blocks from sectors SPOT-AP2 and SPOT-AUP2 in the Southern portion of the Potiguar Basin near its limit with the Pernambuco–Paraiba Basin
The objective of this report is to leverage the BPS integrated Brazilian Geodatabase as a transformative tool for ranking and prioritizing the three blocks within the Sector SCE-AP3 of the Ceará Basin, along with 11 blocks from the Sector SPOT-AP2 of the Potiguar Basin.
The application of high resolution geochemistry techniques on oil and rock samples enabled the differentiation and mapping of all oil families and their corresponding source rocks as well as the assessment of the definition of their geographical distribution. 3D petroleum system modelling, calibrated with geological and geochemical data, was performed at a regional scale. BPS built a regional model utilizing the of seismic lines available and it was built with structural maps that encompass the whole sedimentary section.
