In order to evaluate the exploratory potential of the Piauí-Camocim-Acaraú sub-basins, in the northern part of Ceará Basin, Brazil Petro Studies have developed a study to rank the best areas for petroleum exploration based on the integration of different approaches and exploration tools like seismic interpretation and mapping, high-resolution geochemistry, reservoir petrophysics, tectonic, structural and stratigraphic framework reconstruction and petroleum system quantitative modeling.

2D Petroleum System Modeling and Exploration Risk Assessment of Equatorial Margin Barreirinhas Basin

In order to evaluate the exploratory potential of Barreirinhas Basin, a 2D Petroleum System modeling study was performed aiming to rank the best areas for petroleum exploration in the basin. The study was based on the integration of multidisciplinary approaches and exploration tools including 2D seismic interpretation, high-resolution geochemistry technology, 2D petroleum system modeling and petrophysics.
